    IN AUSTRALIA

    To the Australian government.. We the youth of Australia insist the Australian horses known as Brumbies be protected by heritage laws in our country.. These animals carried our nation in the first instance and continued to work along side our pioneers. They were the mount of many a brave soldier in our land and fought in our wars…. It is not through their error that the numbers have become so large it is due to the lack of management and funding from our government..
    We also state that the reason for these culls cannot be in the best interest of our eco system as the carcasses of these animals take a long time to break down and with this process becomes the loss of vegetation in these immediate areas.
    We also state that by leaving the carcasses in our national parks is supplying a large food source for other feral animals such as wild pigs.
    We ask that a new management group be set up to address the issues arising from this petition and a strategic management plan be put into place for the future of the Australian brumby and our environment
    Where we all share this planet and this country in harmony for the same cause.

    sure anonymous we could but emails can be deleted and ignored so we thought we try the old fashioned way.....thanx for your input. you can send the petition if you copy it to your own email
